Most
owners want their pets to integrate happily in family life, and
to live sociably and peacefully as part of the household.
However, occasionally problems occur for various reasons, and smooth
family co-existence becomes difficult.
This is the point to consider
a qualified pet behaviourist who is able to work through these difficulties
and provide the family with a course of action to improve the situation.
I conduct Pet Behaviour Consultations for both canine and feline
behaviour problems, such as those outlined below:

Attention
seeking
All
pet behaviour problems will need to be referred from your
veterinary surgeon, to first rule out medical issues.
Pet behaviour consultations will take up to two hours, and will
be conducted at the clients home, preferably with all the family
present. A full history will be taken, and then a behavioural modification
programme will be devised.
This will be fully explained at the consultation,
but also confirmed in a written report to the client, and the referring
veterinary surgeon. Follow up support is available either by phone
or email, and occasionally a follow up consultation may be appropriate.
Commitment by the client is of paramount importance to adhere to
the behaviour modification programme and improve the issues identified.
