The
first few months of your dog’s life are the most important
in its behavioural development. This is the time when your puppy
will learn how to interact with humans, other dogs and other species
(ie. cats, etc.), as well as learning how to cope with the internal
and external environment in which it lives. The more work you put
into socialising and training your puppy in these first months,
the more likely you are to have a happy, well-mannered, family pet.
Puppy Home Visits/Training Lessons
These one-to-one lessons will take place at your home and are designed to help you begin the process of training your new puppy, as well as assisting with the many questions new puppy owners find themselves asking. I can provide advice and assistance on issues such as housetraining and toileting, diet, socialisation, exercise, basic training commands, as well as prevention of future problems such as jumping up and attention seeking behaviours. Many families also need help on integrating the puppy safely into family life, particularly if babies and young children are present.
Puppy home visits can be booked individually, or as a series of visits, depending upon your requirements. Each session will be personally designed to cover the areas particularly important to you and your puppy. There are no limitations on the age puppies need to be to start training and the visits are not dependent upon have finished the vaccination process. Each session will last an hour.
